Rajendra Prasad elected as new MAA president

Actor G. Rajendra Prasad was elected as the new president of Movie Artistes’ Association (MAA), Telangana on Friday, bringing a week- long high voltage campaign to an end. Actor, Sivaji Raja was declared as General Secretary, while actor Mohan Babu’s daughter Manchu Lakshmi and actor Sivakrishna were elected as vice-presidents.
Several people from the television industry, who are also actively involved in films, enthusiastically participated in the election and gave Rajendra Prasad a grand victory. They hopes that the new President will lend his support in solving the long pending issues related to small screen such as ESI, pension, insurance, etc.
Several factors, including political, went into the MAA elections this time. Members were divided into two camps representing Mr. Murali Mohan and Mr. Chiranjeevi.
