Sundarakanda back on Gemini TV but with different time slot

Gemini Television has re launched its half-hour daily soap ‘Sundarakanda’ on completion of 300 episodes with a new twist in its scheme for reaping high rating as well to ensue viewer stickiness.
The time slot kept for the soap is at 6.30 pm, every Monday-Friday. Earlier, the serial used to beam on TV screens between 9 pm to 9.30 pm.

HC asks WSG, BCCI to settle dispute

The Bombay High Court has suggested Mauritius-based World Sports Group (WSG) and BCCI to settle their dispute cordially in regard to termination of their agreement on overseas telecast rights of IPL matches.
Both sides will inform the court whether this is acceptable to them and if they do not agree to this suggestion, the arguments on WSG's appeal will continue.

HC extends tender-process stay for IPL telecast rights

The Bombay High Court has extended the stay to the invitation of tenders by the BCCI for telecast rights of Indian Premier League (IPL) outside India.
A Division bench of Justices PB Majmudar and A A Sayed extended the stay till tomorrow after World Sports Group (WSG) approached it challenging a single bench order dismissing its plea against BCCI's decision to terminate its contract.

A division bench issues notice to NDTV over distribution row with MSM

NDTV has been issued notice by a division bench for terminating channel distribution contract with MSM Discovery and switching over to Star Den.
Earlier, a single-judge bench of the Court Justice S Muralidhar had upheld the decision of the Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) on 22 December, 2011 which had given a judgment in favor of NDTV.

Maa TV launches 2 new channels

Hyderabad based Telugu Channel MAA TV has launched two new channels on February 4, 2011 one Maa Movies and the other Maa Junior.
Now Maa TV has four channels in place. Maa TV Network chairman N Prasad said, “Maa TV’s vision is to attain the status of a true and preferred entertainment channel network for Telugu diaspora worldwide by delivering pleasant and wholesome entertainment. The launch of two new channels is a major step towards this objective.”

Trinamool Congress to launch news channel

Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress is planning to launch a television news channel soon.
Amid media reports, the channel, to be called Maa Mati Manus (Mother, soil and people), will be launched in order to counter “the false propaganda” of West Bengal's ruling Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M). The announcement was made by Trinamool Congress party chief Mamata Banerjee on Thursday.
