Popular actor Vivek Oberoi will be the main lead inBalaji Telefilms-owned over the top (OTT) platform ALTBalaji’s new crime show ‘A Family’. The announcement was made by the actor himself on his Twitter account.
The actor tweeted, “Here’s the BIG announcement I have been wanting to share with all my incredible fans! My next project is an action-packed crime based web series with @altbalaji. Can’t wait to start shooting for it! Super excited to collaborate with the amazing @ektaravikapoor once again!”
This will be Vivek’s second web-series after Amazon Prime Video’s first Indian original ‘Inside Edge.’ A Family is set in the backdrop of Mumbai mafia land. Oberoi will portray the role of Sharad Juvatkar in the series.
ALTBalaji will have 150 to 200 hours of programming. It is spending hugely on original series to keep ahead of rivals.
