In recent times, several NDTV employees were laid off due to unaffordable operation costs and technological interventions such as mobile journalism. While NDTV is facing several crises, Amazon Internet Services has hired former NDTV senior vice president software solutions Shweta Jain as head of media and entertainment services for South Asia.
She will work with media organisations helping them initiate and boost their cloud adoption for better efficiencies and scalability.
She worked with NDTV for 19 year.
Earlier, she was also the Founder Director of a digital business incubated at NDTV, managing the P&L of a B2B vertical publishing TV listings (EPG) of over 1000 channels to over 50 platforms in India and abroad.
