‘Beware of Jio Coin apps’: RJio warns users

Recently, a leading financial daily reported that fake websites peddling Jio Coin, a crypto currency, are luring gullible users in their traps. The rackets, running the Jio Coin Apps, claim to be from Reliance Jio. There are 22 apps which had Jio Coin in their name available for download on the Google PlayStore.


Users think these apps are real. To end the confusion, Reliance Jio has warned public against fake Jio Coin apps. It also said that legal action will be taken against those misguiding the public in the name of the company by soliciting investments in crypto currencies through fake Jio Coin Apps.

RJio made a statement: “Any such apps using the Jio Coin name are fake and people are advised to refrain from dealing with any of them. Reliance Jio takes a serious note of such fraudulent attempts by unscrupulous persons to misguide the public in the name of Jio and reserves the right to take appropriate legal recourse.”
