Digivive may launch an OTT platform for a South Indian ISP

Digivive, a mobile TV service provider, may soon reach an agreement with South India based internet service provider (ISP) to launch the latter’s over the top (OTT) service.

If the deal is finalized, the ISP provider will be its second client. Digivive had helped multi system operator (MSO) DEN Networks to launch an OTT service. The direct to home (DTH) operators like Dish TV, Tata Sky and Videocon d2h have launched OTT platforms to allow their subscribers to consume content anytime, anywhere.

According to nexGTv head of growth Dushyant Kohli, “DigiVive has already enabled DEN Networks to evolve its offering and is in talks with yet another prominent ISP in Southern India that is planning to launch its OTT platform soon and enhance its relevance in this fast-changing content consumption landscape of the country,” the company said in a statement. The company also owns video entertainment app nexGTV which provides 130+ live TV channels, 2500 movies, and 10000 hours of VOD content. India’s entertainment industry is undergoing a revolutionary makeover as consumers and their viewing preferences mature day by day. They are now keener than ever to consume content on OTT platforms while on-the-go. Considering the changing viewing trends, multiple production houses are identifying the potential of OTT apps and how it is going to be the way forward in terms of content consumption.”
