Airing Rahul Gandhi’s interview before 2nd phase of Gujarat poll was not accepted by the Election Commission. It has chided news channels for airing interviews with Congress president-elect Rahul Gandhi a day before the second phase of Gujarat polls.
The ECI has directed the Chief Electoral Officer of Gujarat to initiate necessary action by filing FIRs against the channels. It has also asked the channels to stop airing the interview.
The interview was aired on ABP Asmita, GSTV, VTV, and TV9 in which he spoke on a range of issues including the Gujarat elections. The results f election will be declared on 18 December.
