Actor Neeraj Vora passes away

The famous character actor who essayed many comic roles as well as memorable character roles, Neeraj Vora passed away on 14 December; he had slipped into coma after suffering a massive heart-attack and a brain stroke in October 2016. He was 54.


The entire Bollywood community mourned the big loss. Vora had been moved to friend Firoz Nadiadwala’s house here after he had slipped into coma. A room in Nadiadwala’s residence was converted into an ICU for his speedy recovery.

Vora was born in a Gujarati family and came to be known in the film industry for the way he tackled humour through his acting, writing and directorial projects.

As a writer, he worked on films like Rangeela, Akele Hum Akele Tum, Josh, Badshah, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Awara Paagal Deewana, Deewane Huye Paagal, Ajnabee, Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri.

He also directed Khiladi 420 and Phir Hera Pheri. He was to direct Hera Pheri III but could not do so due to coma.
