Viu brings popular Korean shows to India

With arrival of OTT players, Indian viewers have diverse content sourced from across the world. Recently, Viu, the premium video-on-demand service by Vuclip and PCCW, has started Korean dramas for their Indian viewers.


The OTT player has already launched these Korean TV Shows in other Asian markets. The list of Korean shows in India includes ‘Come Back Alive’, ‘Heirs’, ‘My Love From Another Star’, ‘Descendants of the Sun’, ‘Sweet Stranger and M’, ‘Doctors’, ‘Poet Warrior Youth’.

According to Viu India country head Vishal Maheshwari, “We have witnessed a very healthy uptake by young viewers, aged 18 to 24 years, who are watching Korean TV shows with English subtitles. The youth of India today are looking for world-class TV shows. Korean TV shows deliver on all aspects from story to production which makes it such a success. The trend of watching Korean content is picking up rapidly across the country.”
