As per media sources, Upma Chaudhary, a 1983 batch Himachal IAS officer, may become the new secretary with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB).
In 2016, she was named as the director of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), New Delhi. She is the first director of LBSNAA and had been empanelled as Secretary in the Centre in November 2016.
