The Taiwanese set top box (STB) chipset provider ALi Corporation has been hired by the DTH operator Videocon d2h for the development of its next-gen high-definition (HD) STBs.
Videocon MD Saurabh Dhoot said: “It is crucial to provide our subscribers high quality and affordable set-top boxes that enable differentiating features such as high-definition video, a variety of VAS, middleware support and content security. Upon detailed review, we selected ALi Corp. as our next-generation platform and strategic partner in SoC domain.
