As the Prasar Bharati is overhauling the DD & AIR, it has also shortlisted two journalists for editorial leadership positions in Doordarshan News and Prasar Bharati News Service under All India Radio, as per media reports.
Siddharth Zarabi has over 20 years of work experience is currently Executive Editor of Business TV India, while Abhijit Majumder is Managing Editor of Mail Today newspaper.
The media reports say that a high-level committee has identified Siddharth Zarabi for Head of TV News in DD News and Abhijit Majumder for the position of Chief Editor, Prasar Bharati News Service (PBNS).
If appointed, Zarabi is likely to be the prime time host of the public broadcaster and will handle news production operations. And working under the Director General of News at All India Radio, Majumder will be responsible for news service operations and will also handle digital platforms.
