SC rejects Sahara repayment proposal

The Supreme Court on 7th March has rejected an offer by the Sahara group to repay in instalments bond investors whom it owes around Rs.20,000 crore. Earlier SC has ordered Sahara Group to submit a fresh repayment plan by 11 March, and sent Chairman Subrata Roy back to Tihar jail.
Lucknow-based Sahara put forward a plan under which it would reimburse Rs.2,500 crore in three days and Rs.14,900 crore in instalments every three months till 30 July 2015.
