Amrita TV gets warning from MIB for airing ‘A’ rated film

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) on 27th March has sent a warning to Kerala Based Malayalam general entertainment channel Amrita TV for violating the programming Code by airing an ‘A’- certified film in June 2012.   
On 28 May last year, the MIB had served a show-cause notice (SCN) to Amrita TV for airing ‘The Don’ on 3 June 2012 for violation of the provisions of the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995. 

Amrita TV has been warned to strictly adhere to the Programme Code prescribed under the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995 and rules framed there under in letter and spirit.
