Hatway Cable brings HD service in Bengaluru & Mysore

Hathway Cable & Datacom on 26th March has brought its high-definition (HD) service in Bengaluru & Mysore. 
The HD set-top boxes (STBs) are a mix of Sky Worth and Technicolor, the middleware has been provided by NDS/Cisco. The HD set-top boxes are priced at Rs 2,000 each.

The HD start-up pack is priced at Rs 100 and offers 21 channels. The premium pack, on the other hand, is priced Rs 145 and offers 31 HD channels. 
Hathway Cable & Datacom MD and CEO Jagdish Kumar said it is offering a total of 442 channels including 31 HD channels, with the addition of 151 standard-definition (SD) and four HD channels to their existing network in Bengaluru and Mysore. 
With this expansion, Hathway has the largest bouquet of SD and HD channels in Bengaluru and Mysore, and covers the entire spectrum of South Indian channels (both paid and free-to-air). The channel line-up now starts with Kannada channels and the objective is to give an enhanced regional flavour. 
Hathway is the only MSO in Bengaluru to offer key regional TV channels in HD and now has 31 HD channels, which is the largest HD portfolio in Bengaluru. 
The company has also launched Hathway CCC, Hathway Entertainment and Hathway Movies. In addition to the above, it will be soon launching many more channels covering genres like general entertainment, kids, music, regional movies, lifestyle and adventure.
