CCI imposes Rs 1 crore as fine on Google

The Competition Commission of India on 27th March has imposed a fine of Rs 1 crore on Google for not cooperating in an investigation.
Google is charged of abusing its dominant position in online search and search advertising. The CCI is investigating this matter. 

In its order, CCI said: “The order was passed on a reference made by the DG to CCI alleging inter alia non-cooperation by Google in the pending investigations.” 
Google has not complied with the directions given by the director general seeking information and documents, the CCI stated.
