MEDIA BROADCAST Reorganizes It’s Management Team

MEDIA BROADCAST, Europe's leading full-service provider for the broadcast and media industry, has reorganized its management and made several new appointments to senior management positions, as part of the company’s strategic realignment. Wolfgang Kniese (47) will enhance the MEDIA BROADCAST Management Board from 1 April 2015. As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), he will be responsible for the company's finances. He succeeds Bruno Maineult, who leaves the company on 1 April.
Before moving to MEDIA BROADCAST, Wolfgang Kniese served as CFO of T-Mobile Austria in Vienna for six years, where he was responsible for all commercial processes as well as procurement. Prior to this, he had worked in various management positions at T-Mobile and T-Online, and was involved in several IPOs at the telecoms group.
The Management Board of MEDIA BROADCAST now only has two members – Wolfgang Breuer and Wolfgang Kniese. Ulf Heggenberger, also a member of the Management Board since September 2014 in the position of Chief Sales & Marketing Officer (CSMO), will leave the company on 31 March 2015 at his own request to pursue new challenges.
Instead of the CSMO, the MEDIA BROADCAST management team will from now on have two new Chief Commercial Officers for sales and marketing – one for B2B activities and another for future B2C activities. Holger Meinzer (38), previously head of the TV business unit, has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer B2B with effect from 1 April 2015. The position of Chief Commercial Officer B2C will be filled in the near future.
The role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO), which was previously undertaken by Wolfgang Breuer in addition to his responsibilities as CEO, will from now on be filled by Frank Schulz (42), Head of the MEDIA BROADCAST Networks business unit until now, and before that Head of Business Development at the network operator ORS in Austria.
