Shastri Bhavan came in highlight again when a minor fire broke out at its third floor, which houses coal and fertilizer ministries. Earlier it came in highlight during corporate espionage case. The fire was reported at around 6.20pm, probably due to overheating of electic wires on the third floor.
A fire official said that we got a call around 6:20Pm and four fire tenders rushed to the spot. As we reached there, a room was filled with smoke and we controlled the fire by 6:40pm.
Fire and police officials ruled out any sabotage, loss of life and material in the incident.
In corporate espionage case also Shastri Bhawan, came in highlight where building security was repeatedly breached and classified documents had been stolen.
