Film Fraternity, Rathore meeting over censorship issue

The film fraternity met Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and senior officers of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on 16 March, to discuss censorship concerns. The meeting of broad members of CBFC is going to be held on 17 March, Tuesday morning.
On the question of CBFC Chairperson’s autocratic style of functioning, the Minister Rathore replied that to review the film, we have a certification committee, a revising committee and a Film Certification Appellate Tribunal hence no person can hack the system.
Along with Shravan Kumar, CEO CBFC, Gulzar, Anurag Kashyap, Sriram Raghavan, Shabana Azmi, Vidya Balan, Anushka Sharma and Kiran Rao attended the meeting.  The meeting was for the series of controversies, surrounding the CBFC, after Pahlaj Nihalani took over in January.
