The iPhone gets its own YouTube app

The new version of the YouTube app for iPhone is being released by Google and it will be the first time advertising as well but it won’t be preloaded on the phone. The app will be available for download from the Apple app store, said Google in a blog post.
The Youtube’s business is becoming increasingly more dependent on the smartphones and a large number of videos get their hits from the smartphones. The new app will come with additional videos, says the blog post and improved features for finding and sharing videos on social networks.

Unlike the previous version, the new version will be featuring online advertising as well, a Google spokesman said.
The bulk of Google revenue comes from online ads. Last month Apple had announced it could not use the YouTube app in iPhone and iPad since its license for the same was over. The relationship between the two companies has not been smooth for many years, due to the competition between them.
