ALi Corporation and Mware Solutions Partner in Offering End-to-End Solutions for IPTV OTT Operators

ALi Corporation, a leading Set-Top Box (STB) chipset provider, today announced an IP Set-top-box integrating Mware middleware on ALi’s M3912 platform. The strategic collaboration between ALi and Mware delivers a turnkey end-to-end operation solution.
Mware Solutions offers a true turnkey end-to-end IPTV Middleware solution based on a modular design. The solution is based on the so-called building blocks Encoding/Transcoding, Content Distribution Network and Streaming Solutions, Middleware and Apps for several devices like Set-top Boxes, Tablets, Smartphones, SmartTV’s, PC’s and Mac’s. An operator can choose the building blocks to create and/or complement its IPTV solution.
This year Mware will introduce 10 new Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) supporting several market segments. The next GUI will facilitate Video On Demand (VoD) oriented services.
With IMS (IPTV Middleware System), the operator gets one of the most comprehensive IPTV management and publishing solutions on the market today. Its modular architecture makes it possible to adapt to any of your business requirements. With IMS, you take full control over your multi device IPTV service(s) without the need of trained IT staff and/or network/server experts. IMS enables you to set up and manage multiple IPTV services from one central web-based management console. Due to its open structure, IMS can connect to any 3rd party solution or service.
By this integrated approach, Mware offers a guaranteed working solution that allows operators to focus on the content and marketing and sales of their services.
Mware’s solution is completely integrated with Linux based set-top boxes based on the ALi chipset M3912 offered by TelergyHD. TelergyHD is a Dutch company that produces top quality OTT/IPTV Android and Linux based set-top boxes. TelergyHD combines the best of what Asia can manufacture with Dutch entrepreneurship and technical know-how.
“Mware’s wide experience enables us to deliver state-of-the-art solutions that meet our customer’s needs and often surpassing their expectations,” according to Sander Kerstens, CEO of Mware Solutions. “We are excited that together with ALi Corporation we could offer a truly end-to-end IPTV OTT solution to their customer base with ALi chipsets.”
“By developing our own HTML5 browser with DRM pre-integrated, ALi is able to make the best use of software flexibility and hardware resources to launch STB solutions,” said Tony Chang, General Manager of ALi’s Broadcast and Broadband Media Business Unit.“For example, ALi M3912 is a lightweight, cost-effective solution that allows customers to develop Web based GUI with differentiating features and to accelerate time-to-market. ALi M3733 is a high-performance solution with enhanced security engine, CPU computing power, and 3D graphics engines. It offers flexibility for existing Web App, end-to-end platform, and middleware engagement.”
ALi will showcase a full spectrum of STB solutions at BroadcastAsia2015, taking place on June 2-5 in Singapore. Visitors are welcome to ALi’s booth 4B1-09 for demonstrations.
