Times Group gears up to bring property channel soon

Times News Network may soon come up with a new channel on property, Property Now.  It will be India’s first pan-India property channel and will be available as a free-to-air (FTA) channel in the initial stage.
The Network has already marked its presence in the arena of property by running a property website Magicbricks.com. In the print also it has a property supplement called Times Property, and now it is all set to make its presence in the property section by launching an electronic property channel. The channel is expected to be launched between 15th August and 1st September.
According to sources, the channel will initially focus on key urban markets. Its programming will dwell on properties, interiors, and international designs, among other things. Its sister channel ET Now is already running a property show, ‘The Property Guide’.
Industry experts are of the view that currently, most real estate content consumption is happening on print in the form of advertising or editorial and on property websites. Hence, there emerges a real need for a Television channel to translate these content into a television content.
