Appointment of actor Gajendra Chauhan as Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) chairman agitated the FTII students leading to a massive protest of long 20 days. But it seems that the I&B ministry is still not in a mood to replace him.
Students objected his appointment as Chairman as he is not a big name in the industry. But the ministry says, this cannot be a reason to replace Chauhan from the post. It also stated that, Mr Chauhan should be given some time to prove his ability.
It is learnt that the striking students are scheduled to hold talks with joint secretary of I&B ministry shortly.
