Asianet and Amrita TV announce Onam special programmes

Asianet group of channels and Amrita TV are all set to give a gala treat to viewers coming Onam on September, 16. The three channels of the Asianet network - Asianet, Asianet Plus (Malayalam general entertainment channel) and Asianet Movies will have special programming line ups for seven days. The line ups include interviews, films, special programmes and music-based shows. The channels will air interviews with film stars including Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, Dili and Fahad Fazil, amongst others.
On September 16, Asianet will air an interview with Jayaram, 'Snehapoorvam Jayaram' (8 am) followed by the movie, 3 dots, at 10 am. It will also air other movies such as Immanuvel (1.30 pm) and Sound Thoma ( 5.00 pm). There will be telecast of a chat show with Dilip and Kalabhan Shajon in 'Shringaravelan dilip' and a comedy telefilm, 'Thalayanamanthram'. The highlight of the day is the special episode of 'Munch Stars' featuring the Onam celebrations of television stars, along with Mammootty, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Tini Tom.
Other highlights of the day are "Krishna Begene Baru" (7.00 am), and Onam special programmes like Onanilavu and Onapattukal.
On September 17, the channel will premiere "Issac Newton S/o Philipose" at 1 pm. Other highlights of the day are special Onam episodes of Munch Stars, Comedy Express and Onakali.
On September 16, Thiruvonam day, Amrita will air a special episode of 'Udayamritham' at 6.30 am. The channel will also air 'Mandahasa Pushpam', an interview with Lekshmi Gopalaswamy, at 7 am. The other shows that it will air on September 16 are 'Ona Sparsham' (7.30 am), 'Madirasi' (8.15 am) and 'Ona Sadya' (12.30pm).
The channel will also air 'Lokpal' at 1.15 pm, followed by 'Akathalakkaryam' (6.25 pm), Malayalee's global festival (7.00pm) and 'Kapil Devinoddoppam' (8.30pm). The last two shows that it will air on September 16 are 'Thiruvonam' at 9.00 pm and 'Chiri Noolizha Naitha Onappudava' (9.30 pm).
Avittom will start with 'Nadanppattukal' at 7.00 am followed by 'Ona Sparsham' at 7.30 am. The channel will also premiere 'Players', the tale of a band of young bike riders, at 8.45 am. It will also air shows like Akathalakkaryam, Ona Sadya and Pazhayidom Mohanan Namboothiri Ona Thillakavum Chakkochanum. Dileep's frank and forthright views continue in the informal talk Chiri Noolizha Naitha Onappudava at 9.30 pm.
Chatayam, the last day of Onam, gets going with attempts to revive folk heritage. The show based on authentic folk music Nadanppattukal (7.00am) will be aired, followed by Ona Sparsham at 7.30 am.
