It was indeed a busy day at Network18. The company lost its CEO and COO on the very same day—their resignation came a few days after the Lok Sabha election verdict and a day after the declaration of the fiscal and fourth quarter financial results.
Earlier in the day, group CEO B Saikumar announced that he was stepping down. Now, group COO Ajay Chacko has also put in his papers.
Chacko, who has been with Network18 for close to 10 years, was named COO on 14 May last year. He was also heading AETN18, the joint venture between factual entertainment broadcaster A+E Networks and TV18, as president.
