Zee News editor Sudhir Chaudhary denied anticipatory bail in a separate case of forgery

Zee News editor Sudhir Chaudhary was denied anticipatory bail in a fresh case.
The Delhi Police had registered a case of forgery against Chaudhary for telecasting a programme showing documents which they claimed were part of the CAG report, against Jindal Group in connection with Coalgate.

An Additional Sessions Judge rejected Chaudhary's contention that the FIR was filed because his channel was running news against the Jindal group and its involvement in the coal scam.
The court said by forging documents, Chaudhary violated the bail condition in a previous case of extortion.
Meanwhile, another court rejected Zee News' plea for stay on proceedings in a defamation case filed by Jindal Steel and Power Limited against the channel.
