Videocon d2h team sponsor of Mumbai Indians

Adding yet another feather to its association with cricket in the country, Videocon d2h the fastest growing Direct To Home (DTH) service provider in India, has associated itself as the team sponsor for the Mumbai Indians (MI) franchise for the sixth season of the Indian Premier League to be held in the summer of 2013. The logo of Videocon d2h will prominently feature on the front of the jersey of Mumbai Indians players.
On this association Chairman of Videocon Group, V N Dhoot said, “Cricket, as we all know is like a religion in India and the IPL has facilitated its reach to a larger audience because of its entertainment quotient. The quick fix T-20 format and the IPL connect instantly with the youth, a huge target audience for our brand, and associating with it fits perfectly with the brand proposition. Quality entertainment is also a strong delivery attribute that we believe in and this matches perfectly with the tournament dynamics.”

Anil Khera, CEO, Videocon d2h added, “We are happy to announce our association with the Mumbai Indians team for IPL VI, which has been one of the most consistent and followed teams in the league. Videocon d2h provides entertainment to millions of Indians through our DTH service and there is no bigger entertainment platform than the IPL. With mandatory digitization imminent in 38 cities across India, Videocon d2h is looking to leverage from the value and the vigor the tournament offers. We are hopeful of garnering greater visibility for our brand at a crucial time like digitization, thus providing us an edge and are looking forward to riding the wave of high definition cricket in the coming few weeks on our platform.”
