BSNL and Sai Info to set up four data centres

BSNL, the Public sector telecom company, has signed a deal with the Ahmedabad-based information technology Sai Info System (SIS) to set up four Internet data centres. 
These four centres are being built as the company plans to builds 10 data centres in the country to tap the emerging cloud business opportunity. The cities where the two companies BSNL and SIS will set up centres include Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chertala in Kerala. 

These data centres are Tier-III (a high level certification), which will offer high availability of services, V. Srinivasan, Chief General Manager (CGM-Andhra Pradesh) of BSNL, said. He was announcing the launch of the data centre at Patancheru in the state. 
The company has sent Rs 40 crore on setting up the facility, which will be managed jointly by BSNL and SIS.
