8 service providers get allotment of 4G BWA spectrum by the government

The Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) Spectrum for 4G services has been allotted by the government to six different service providers, the other beneficiaries of the 4G BWA spectrum are BSNL and MTNL.
Minister of State for Communications & Information Technology Milind Deora said in a statement in the Lok Sabha that BSNL has provided 50077 connections through 4G/WiMAX whereas Bharti Airtel had added 3180 subscribers.
