MediaPower to launch AirGo simultaneous SDI and IP support at IBC

MediaPower returns to the 2015 IBC Show, the premier annual event for professionals engaged in the creation, management and delivery of entertainment and news content worldwide.   On its third year, MediaPower highlights feature-packed improvements to its award-winning products that include NewsTouch touch-based live presentation apppliance, Arkki cost-effective MAM appliance with editing capabilities, and AirGo production and playout system.  MediaPower also puts focus on IP workflows as it aims to help broadcasters and content providers bridge the gap to IP playout by supporting simultaneous SDI and IP ingest & playout on its AirGo video server.
AirGo is a turnkey solution for multi-channel broadcasting that combines automation, simultaneous SDI & IP ingest/playout, and interactive graphics overlay in a system provisioned with RAID-protected storage. This single, compact, fully integrated multitasking box reduces the cost and effort to maintain a system that continues to scale in size and complexity, while easing the transition to IP workflows. In addition to supporting all major codecs and wrappers, and simultaneous SDI and IP ingest/playout, it provides built-in automation and master control tools alongside an advanced graphics and branding suite (powered by ClassX) that allows broadcasters and operators better engage their audience and encourage brand recall. AirGo is also configurable as a channel-in-a-box solution, allowing operators to start with what they need, while offering the flexibility to scale into a much larger and fully-redundant video management platform.
The IBC exhibition will run from September 11 to 15 at the RAI Amsterdam. MediaPower will be at stand 7.J42 and hold live demonstrations of NewsTouch, Arkki, and AirGo.AirGo will also be featured at the DDN stand 7.B33, as part of DDN’s playout workflow.
Additionally, NetApp and XOR Media, another two of MediaPower’s premiere technology partners, will also join MediaPower at IBC.  MediaPower will showcase NetApp’s hybrid/all-flash FAS storage and XOR’s object-based cloud storage Cloud Aqua.  A live demo of NetApp FAS 2500 will also be part of MediaPower’s playout workflow at MediaPower stand 7.J42.
