CQ-MIB grants license to MCCS to launch Punjabi news channel ABP Sanjha

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has granted license to Media Content and communication Services (MCCS), the ABP group owned broadcasting company to launch its proposed 24-hour Punjabi news channel ABP Sanjha.
MCCS has approached Ministry to get license in the year 2013.
ABP currently has channels in Hindi (ABP News), Marathi (ABP Majha) and Bengali (ABP Ananda). Sanjha will be the third feather to its regional spread.
The channel will have to compete with Punjabi news channels PTC News, Zee Punjab/Haryana/Himachal and MH1 News.
Ministry has also granted license applications of peace of Mind, non-news channel from God Media and Ptrika TV Rajasthan, a news channel from Rajasthan Patrika.
