The state owned Arasu made it mandatory on all it linked local cable operators (LCO) and multi-system operators (MSO) to give the printed serial numbered receipts to all its subscribers. This comes into effect immediately from 5th of February stated in press release issued by Arasu cable TV.
Releases further states that the LCO and MSOs should only use the receipt books with serial numbers provided by the Corporation and only the monthly subscription, of Rs.70, stipulated by the Government should be collected from the subscribers. Subscribers should insist on such official receipts of TACTV. The LCOs and MSOs should not issue any other receipts and they cannot charge the subscribers more than the stipulated subscription amount. Anyone found violating the rules would be liable to face stern action.
