HC directive to Arasu Cable TV

The Madras High Court Bench here on 1 September directed the Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable Television Corporation (TACTC) to consider a representation made by a social activist here to give equal importance to all Tamil news television channels without discrimination.
A Division Bench of Justices R. Sudhakar and V. M. Velumani passed the order on a public interest litigation petition filed by C. Anand Raj of Equal Right, a human rights organisation, accusing the TACTC of discrimination against a couple of channels that covered the anti-liquor protests comprehensively.
