S.Y. Quraishi, a former chief election commissioner of India launched a social-networking website janpratinidhi.com on 29 August. Users and voters to get information about their elected representatives and initiate online conversations around their respective constituencies from the website.
The website—janpratinidhi.com—has collated information on all Lok Sabha and assembly constituencies in India. Using interactive maps, data and infographics, the website gives the history of the elected representatives from all constituencies and details about their constituencies.
Srishti, a non-governmental organisation, and Futuron Synergie, a Lucknow-based business initiative company providing services in information, technology, communication among others, have created the website.
