According to the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT), the multi system operator (MSO) Asianet Satellite Communication should enter into a written interconnect agreement with Star India either on reference interconnect offer (RIO) or mutually agreed terms in a month’s time.
The order said that the RIO rates and terms will be subject to final decision in these petitions in case of an RIO based agreement. The past liabilities, if any, will be the subject matter of further adjudication although they do not seem to arise in the present case as per pleadings of the parties.
