The multi system operator (MSO) IndusInd Media and Communications Ltd (IMCL) has got a breather from the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) which has asked Disney Broadcasting India not to disconnect signals to it if the MSO pays Rs 49.55 lakh by 26 December.
TDSAT said that the MSO will have to pay the subscription fees for the month of December to the broadcaster at the agreed rates but it will not be entitled to charge any placement fee. The two parties have also been granted one month’s time to sit across the table and finalise their future relationship and also settle their accounts.
The next hearing if needed will be on 23 January.
