Twitter India in association with Starsports.com and Vodafone India has launched a new application called Twitter Amplify for sharing premium TV content to engage with sports fans on Twitter’s real time information network.
People will enjoy this application during the current Indian cricket team’s England tour. For the Starsports website, the plan for using this product is to enhance viewer experience across the web and mobile by offering clips of sporting action directly to consumers engaged in conversations on Twitter around live games.
According to the micro blogging site, the programme would enable broadcasters to publish video on Twitter and then jointly monetise the premium content by creating sponsorship packages. Powered by Promoted Tweets, it will increase the reach of the video content distributed via the broadcasters’ and sponsors’ Twitter accounts, the statement added.
