CQ- Twitter plan to reach out to every Indian

Social media giant Twitter has set an ambitious target of reaching out to every citizen of India. In the just concluded elections, Twitter very often became the source of news for millions of people, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading from the front.
“This year till May 16, the counting day, there were 58 million tweets regarding Indian elections,” Rishi Jaitly, India market director of Twitter, told PTI. He described the election as India’s first Twitter election.

“I think, the Lok Sabha election of 2014 is a macrocosm of the best of twitter in India,” Jaitly said.
