BBC, Cinemark bring the Earth Series to LATAM theatres

BBC Worldwide has announced a partnership with Cinemark Holdings to bring the Earth Series to big screens in Latin America. The BBC's natural history production will showcase three of its films in a theatrical format.
One Life, Tiny Giants and Wild Brazil will go through the journey of life, follow two miniature superheroes and explore the wilds of Brazil on Cinemark Large Format XD screens around the region. Tiny Giants 3D will run on 19 and 20 June, then One Life will debut on 26 June followed by two weeks of a three-part series of Wild Brazil ending the week of 10 July.

“Partnering with the BBC has allowed us to expand our content offerings to our Latin America customers,” said Valmir Fernandes, president Cinemark International. “Our Cinemark XD auditoriums are the perfect home for this type of natural history product.”
“BBC acknowledges the importance of enabling a variety of partnerships that enrich the viewing experience of our fans. This agreement with Cinemark, one of the region’s largest cinema operators, is a natural fit to our strategy as it helps us create marquee events for some of our best known signature titles,” added Fred Medina, EVP and managing director of BBC Worldwide Latin America/US Hispanic.
The series will be shown exclusively in Cinemark theatres throughout Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Peru.
