Nokia mobile to be coined as Microsoft Mobile

When the USD 7.2 billion Nokia-Microsoft deal officially comes to a close by end of April, the once leading mobile phone of the world, Nokia mobile, will be renamed Microsoft Mobile.
The announcement comes after Nokia sent a letter to its suppliers informing them that its handset division will now be known as Microsoft Mobile. The transaction is now subject only to certain customary closing conditions.

A statement issued by Microsoft read, “Today we are excited to share that we have completed the steps necessary to finalize Microsoft’s acquisition of the Nokia Devices and Services business. The transaction will be completed this Friday, April 25, when we’ll officially welcome the Nokia Devices and Services business as part of the Microsoft family.”
Last September, Nokia announced its decision to sell its handset business to Microsoft in a $7.2 billion deal.
