Analogue signal service to be discontinued in Jaipur, Jodhpur

Analogue signal service will be discontinued after January 27 in Jaipur and Jodhpur, which are among 38 cities across the country covered under second phase of Digital Addressable Cable TV System ( DAS).
Out of these cities, around 90 per cent of the task pertaining to collect Consumer Application Forms (CAFs) and entry of consumer details in Subscriber Management Systems (SMS) in 23 cities, including both cities of the state has been completed, TRAI Regional Advisor R D Arya said on 20 January at Jaipur.

Multi System Operators (MSO) operating in these identified cities will now ensure that after January 27, TV signals (digital encrypted) are transmitted to only those subscribers whose CAFs have been collected and complete details are available in the SMS.
"Signals of the subscribers whose details are not available to SMS will be switched off after January 27 so all the subscribers should ensure that their details are entered in SMS," Arya added.
