The newly launched Bollywood channel UTV Stars has been launched by UTV on Dish TV and Tata Sky, the two direct-to-home (DTH) platforms. The channel was launched on 19 August simultaneously in India and the Middle East (Etisalat Network).
UTV Stars business head Nikhil Gandhi said, “We are happy to announce that UTV Stars is now available on Dish TV and Tata Sky from 9 September 2011. DTH has become a significant player in India and with this development, we intend to strengthen our distribution in Indian markets.”
