Zee TV's non-fiction head Ashish Golwalkar quits

Ashish Golwalkar, non-fiction head at Zee TV, has put in his papers, thereby ending his 12-year stint with the Hindi general entertainment channel. August 24 will be his last day at Zee.
Interestingly, Golwalkar has decided to move on from Zee at a time when the channel has managed to oust Star Plus to grab the No.1 spot in the Hindi GEC hierarchy on the back of DID Lil Masters (a non-fiction property).

Golwalkar joined Zee in April, 2001 as executive sales - international business. Later, he was given the mandate to drive content syndication and international business at Zee and then moved on as brand manager, marketing for both fiction and non-fiction programming.
For the record, prior to joining Zee, Golwalkar had two short stints at Broadcast Worldwide and City Cable Networks. In both the companies, Golwalkar worked in sales and marketing.
