Finolex Cables reports 77% profit in Q4

Pune-based maker of cables Finolex Cables has posted a net profit of 208 crore for the year ended March 31, 2014, against 145 crore during the previous fiscal representing a rise of 43 per cent year-on-year.

The board has recommended a dividend of 80 per cent for the year. But net sales for the year remained flat at 2,337 crore against 2,244 crore last year, a rise of 4 per cent.

During the last quarter of fiscal 2014, net profit rose to 69 crore (39 crore) representing a rise of nearly 77 per cent. Sales stood at 642 crore against 625 crore, an increase of 3 per cent.
