Delhi HC summoned Media head for not assisting police

The head (legal) of a media house has been summoned as accused by a Delhi court for refusing to assist the Delhi Police in an investigation conducted against the Chief Water Analyst of the Delhi Jal Board and a meter reader.
They were shown taking bribe in a sting operation conducted by a channel run by the media house.

“Due to non-cooperation of the media group, investigation of the case is hampered,” the police told the court.
The complaint has been filed against the head (legal) of the media company under Section 174 IPC for non-attendance to notice issued by the police and section 175 IPC for not producing document/ content of sting sought by the police for its investigation.
