Delhi HC put off Kantar hearing till 11 July

The Delhi High Court on 6th March put off Kantar hearing till 11 July as the government counsel was not available for hearing.
The decision to put off Kantar hearing till July means that stay will continue on the clause related to cross-media holding in the ‘Television Rating Agency Guidelines’ till final orders.

The Delhi High Court bench had also given more time to Kantar to comply with the remaining provisions of the guidelines. It had asked Kantar to register itself within two weeks under the new policy guidelines. The bench also directed Kantar to upload a list of affiliated advertising companies on its website along with the list of its major clients.
Kantar had filed a petition in Delhi High Court on 20 January to seek relief from the TV rating guidelines issued by the, I & B Ministry. It had contended that the cross-media restriction prescribed in the guidelines would result in the closure of TAM and force Kantar to sell its stake in the rating agency.
