July 10th 2013 is the last day for DAS subscribers to submit their consumer application form (CAF) to their local cable operators failing which they will lose connection to their television sets as mandated by TRAI.
The subscribers need to personally check if their information is updated and acknowledged as it is evident that the LCO’s are in no hurry to file details of their subscribers to their respective MSO’s due to the ongoing entertainment tax dispute.
TRAI has clearly signaled that there will not be any extension given and the risk of non submission will lead to severed television connection.
Multisystem operators (MSOs) on the other hand will be forced to deactivate the subscribers STB when TRAI mandates it.
CAF requires, two passport size photographs and photocopies of valid proof of address (eg Aadhar Card, passport, voter id).
Ensure that the packages offered are thoroughly checked and ticked in the CAF.
