Asianet Movies to celebrate first anniversary on 15 July

Asianet Movies, the Malayalam movie channel from the Star Network collection will celebrate its anniversary with Malayalam superhits on 15th July when it completes one year.

"It's been a great pleasure to offer round-the-clock super hit Malayalam movies to audiences everywhere", said Asianet Communication business head Anup Chandrashekar. "And the response has been incredible. The first 24x7 Malayalam movie channel is loved by all Malayalees today."

"Continuing with the theme of 'All Movies Super Hit, All Shows Housefull' we intend to showcase the most exciting movies in the future also. A lineup of the biggest blockbusters is soon coming to the living rooms of Malayalees on their favourite TV screen - Asianet Movies." he added.

Asianet Movies, which started its telecast run with the movie Spanish Masala, presents seven movies per day for the film viewers. As a part of the celebration of the first anniversary, the channel took a new step with a monthly attraction, 'movie of the month' from July. 'Movie of the month' starts with the block buster movie Mayamohini on 14 July at 07.30 pm.

Asianet says that it has the copyright of more than 1500 films including super hits and movies that viewers like to watch frequently. Asianet Movies also telecasts other film related progammes.

The channel has roped in new sponsors for its anniversary special broadcast Josco Jewellers, Amrithanjan, Francis Alukkas, and Kalyan Jewellers for some of the slots, with Amrithanjan also sponsoring the movie of the month.
