No solution yet to the stand off between Broadcasters and Advertises

Twenty four hours from now some of the biggest broadcasters may lose their advertising business if they remain adamant and insist on monthly rating rather than weekly from TAM.
This warning comes from some of the biggest advertisers including Hindustan Unilever Ltd, P&G India, Marico Ltd, Dabur India Ltd, ITC, Britannia Godrej Consumer Products Ltd, Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd and L’Oreal India Pvt. Ltd. on 12 July had sent notices to the nine broadcast network that their advertisement ROs would be cancelled if they did not resolve the issue with TAM within 72 hours and come back to weekly TRP system. 

These advertisers account for almost 40% of Broadcasters who have ganged up till date against TAM’s weekly ratings are Multi Screen Media, Times Television, Network18, STAR India, Zee Network, New Delhi Television, Viacom18 and BAG Networks and Discovery.
