Sai Prasad Media Group is planning to launch as many as six channels this year.
Sai Prasad Group said, “In the coming year, we are planning to launch six more channels. We also want to cover different interests of our audiences in genres such as entertainment and religion.”
The group is currently operating its HD news channel News Express. It recently announced its plans to enter the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
The group will be competing with strong existing players in the Marathi space that includes Mi Marathi, Zee Marathi, IBN Lokmat and IBC 24.
